Droid Incredible – This little device has made me an EX-iPhone user

Droid Incredible Customer Reviews…

By: Daniel Benedict “Melnida”

I have been a smart phone user for many years. I started with ATT using a WM 6.0 HTC 9100 then switched to Verizon with the RIM Storm, then back to ATT with the IPhone 3G S. After a year and a half with the iPhone I have grown tired of its boring UI and very limited customization. I have been keeping my eyes on the Android since its inception and waiting for the right device.

After 4 days of heavy usage I can say I’m thrilled with the HTC Incredible and will never go back to the iPhone even with their upcoming 4G model. The HTC Incredible is fast, configurable, and intuitive. I won’t bother you with the same review as others but agree with most of them.

I have had a couple issues with the phone but nothing to make me think less of it. On low battery the device locks up on me disabling the touch screen until a decent charge is put to it. The first time this happened it frustrated me as the phone would power up but not allow any touch functions (i.e. it would not work at all) after an hour on the charger the issue went away. My other gripe is I have not been able to sync any of my mail accounts other than Gmail such as yahoo.

Even going through the manual settings I could not get any email accounts to work. This is not a huge issue at this point as the browser lets my sign in just as I would on my laptop; however the purpose of push email is to avoid that in the first place. My last gripe is short battery life. I know there are extra capacity versions on the horizon but I am not a fan of larger protruding heavier batteries.

I would rather get a second standard battery then add more bulk and weight but not thrilled with having to change batteries in the course of my work day. These gripes don’t detract from the phones exceptional quality and spot on value.

Overall if you are considering the HTC Incredible you will not be disappointed.

Great Phone

Phone is awesome. Display is good, calling is good. The battery life is pretty standard for smart phones. Mine lasts the whole day and I use a lot of internet and other applications. Good news is if the battery life isn’t what you want you can get a bigger battery from seidio but I haven’t decided to do that yet.

The thing I like best about the phone is the voice recognition. I spoke a whole email and didn’t have type one word, I thought that was pretty awesome. You can use the voice recognition in almost all the areas were you can input text.
